  The Richard Rockefeller Fellowship Program was jointly funded by the Beijing Laoniu Brother & Sister Foundation and the Rockefeller Brothers Foundation and their family members in 2015. The project aims to cultivate young leaders for the development of China's strategic philanthropy, so as to encourage the development of local strategic philanthropy. Through Sino-US cooperation, young talents who are interested in public welfare and philanthropy are selected to promote the sustainable development of China's philanthropy and comprehensively improve China's strategic philanthropy with "innovative ideas and new management model".

The scholarship recipients will go to the Rockefeller Brothers Foundation for studying management skills on the aspect of grants and foundation and so on. They can also make a business trip in the United States, visit other foundations, charity colleges, and attend related conferences (the scholarship includes business travel expenses, accommodation expenses and study and living allowance). The project, with a total donation of about $3 million, is jointly undertaken by the Rockefeller Family, the Rockefeller Brothers Foundation and the Beijing Laoniu Brother & Sister Foundation.
